Your child’s coding class happens on a laptop at home. The ideas behind it travel much further. In May 2025, iCodejr was part of the UAE Ministry of Economy’s delegation to GITEX Europe in Berlin, the first time the region’s biggest tech show was held in Europe.
The Ministry’s own announcement named iCodejr Academy among the companies representing the UAE, describing us as “a pioneer in STEM education for children”: read the Ministry of Economy release.

The first GITEX in Europe
GITEX started in Dubai more than four decades ago, and most UAE families know it as the big tech show at the World Trade Centre. In 2025 it held its first European edition, in Berlin, with artificial intelligence as a major theme.
The UAE took a national delegation. H.E. Alia bint Abdulla Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship, opened the UAE Pavilion, and the delegation brought together start-ups, support bodies such as Khalifa Fund, in5 and Sheraa, and government officials.
Where iCodejr fitted in
Most of the start-ups in the delegation worked on climate, energy, drones and smart cities. iCodejr was there for education, listed alongside Ambito and Maztech Robotics as institutions representing the UAE.
We joined the delegation through Riyada, the Ministry of Economy’s initiative supporting UAE entrepreneurs and small businesses. Hannan Moti, our Founder and CEO, travelled to Berlin and presented iCodejr’s AI-first approach to education: putting AI at the centre of what children learn and how they learn it.
Hannan also pitched iCodejr at “The Innovation Hour”, a session on the UAE Pavilion attended by the Minister, where 10 UAE start-ups presented their work to visitors, partners and investors.
Why this matters for your child
- AI is coming into every classroom. The UAE has announced plans to teach AI as a subject (KG to Grade 12). A week among Europe’s AI companies keeps our classes close to where the technology is going, not where it was five years ago.
- Teaching built in the UAE, tested abroad. Pitching our approach to an international audience, next to companies from around the world, is an honest check on quality. It makes us explain clearly what children get from our classes.
- Nothing changes in the classroom. Every regular iCodejr class is still live, online and one-to-one, for ages 5–18.
Update: what came of Berlin
*Added October 2026.* Berlin brought iCodejr strong partnership offers from Europe. We chose to defer our entry into Europe for now.
A busy spring in Europe
Berlin was one of three European milestones for iCodejr in spring 2025. In April we were selected for Unicorn Factory Lisboa’s Spring 2025 incubation programme, and from April to July Hannan spent three months in Malta with SuperCharger Ventures’ EdTech accelerator.
