CodeNova is an in-person annual individual-format coding competition, powered by iCodejr.com. It is an award-winning platform for students to enhance collaboration, build cognitive creative skills, & showcase their coding proficiency… and the best part is, it’s FREE!
Students from Grades 1-13 from across the UAE come together under one-roof to compete against other coders for the coveted title of ‘CodeNova Champions’!

CodeNova is an individual-format hackathon where students compete 1-on-1.
The hackathon is split into 3 grade groups; Grades 1-4, Grades 5-8 & Grades 9-13.
Teams need to score high in the following 5 criteria, plus add something extra to the mix.
Judges are looking for innovative solutions that have clean UI, excellent pitch and leverage collaboration.

Theme 1 – Jungle Game: Build a game with the jungle background, and your favorite animal sprite.

Platform: Use any block-based platforms such as Scratch.
Theme 1 – STEM Quizmaster: Build an innovative quiz/flashcard app with questions and answer options. The quiz format can be pictorial or audio/visual, i.e. the questions and answers can contain pictures, audio, etc. The quiz topics should be around STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
